**About the Job**

Are you a roofer, handyman, or installer looking to take your skills to the next level? We’re looking for someone with hands-on experience in construction — especially roofing, landscaping, or general installation — to join our team as a **Field Installation Trainer**.

In this role, you’ll work directly with our customers (roofers, contractors, and installers) to **train them on how to properly install our skylight products**. You’ll be the go-to expert in the field, helping others learn best practices, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality installations.

This position will report to the Installer Program Manager.

**Responsibilities: What You’ll Do**
- Lead hands-on training sessions showing roofers and installers how to properly install VELUX products and sales techniques that target profitability and business opportunities.
- Travel to job sites and training events using our mobile setup, or host sessions at our Academy in Oakville.
- Work closely with our sales team to manage your own schedule and training calendar.
- Help installers improve their skills and grow their business by sharing best practices and product knowledge.
- Support customers at our showroom when not traveling.
- Keep training sessions engaging, practical, and focused on real-world installation.
- Help create training materials and track trainee info using our CRM system.
- Assist with other events and ensure safety and quality during all training activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in building, roofing and construction practices is essential.
- Familiarity with tools utilized in skylight installation is required.
- Excels in a training/teaching setting and capable of creating enthusiasm.
- Proficiency in essential technology tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are imperative.
- Overnight travel is required (approx. 25% annually)
- Must be capable of lifting, climbing, and stooping with loads exceeding 60 lbs.
- Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
- **No formal sales experience required** — just a passion for construction and helping others succeed

**Location/Territory: Greater Toronto Area**

**Monthly Salary: $5,462.00 - $6,827.00 per month**
