**Job Description**:

Reporting to the Manager, Platform and Integration Services, this position is responsible for the planning and delivery of complex technology implementations and upgrade projects in support of Cerner, Island Health's Clinical Information System. The position researches, advises, seeks innovation and coordinates technology delivery and infrastructure support to enable Cerner to continuously deliver 24x7 solutions to Island Health, Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and other healthcare partners who participate in the Cerner installation. The position provides technical coordination and performs in a liaison role among IM/IT leadership and Project Managers, senior technical staff, and diverse external organizations such as PHSA and the Ministry of Health.

Travel may be a requirement of this position. If applicable, transportation arrangements must meet the operational requirements of the Vancouver Island Health Authority in accordance with the service assignment and the incumbent must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education, Training And Experience**:
Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science, three years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid Class V Driver's License.

**Skills And Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to write programs in a variety of programming languages.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
