Taking Care is the on-site Child and Parent Development Centre of Taking Charge Our centre is known for providing high quality care for children and exceeding regulatory expectations. We have a dynamic team environment that fosters personal growth and teamwork.
Taking Care is looking for a part-time summer student Child Care Worker.
This position is funded by _Canada Summer Jobs program_. The incumbent must meet all of the following requirements:
- Is between 15 and 30 years of age
- Is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work according to Manitoba legislation and regulations
**Qualifications**:
- Experience with infants, toddlers and preschool children
- Certified in Emergency First Aid / Infant Child CPR an asset
- Knowledge of emergent curriculum an asset
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- Imagination, inventiveness and individuality are welcome in this supportive team environment
- Flexible and able to work in a high paced environment.
- Experience in a daycare facility is an asset.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks
Part-time hours: 35 per week
**Salary**: $14.15 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
