The Environmental, Health, & Specialist is responsible for coordinating and implementing all EH&S initiatives for all current facilities within GTA.

**_ _**_Key Responsibility:_**
- Provide coaching and support for all site leadership employees to raise environmental and safety awareness.
- Implement and administer company environmental/safety programs and policies and ensure compliance with OHSA and all other relevant EHS related legislation and regulations.
- Conduct periodic site inspections, investigate environmental and safety concerns and complete EHS audits for all sites.
- Co-chair Health & Safety Committee and review site specific EHS requirements and attend all on site H&S meetings.
- Perform incident investigations, recommend, and implement corrective actions, maintain EHS records and track EHS statistical performance.
- Support administration of all WSIB related claims and support management and employees to develop and implement appropriate return to work and modified work programs.
- Conduct all EHS awareness orientation for all new hires and provide internal safety training and safety talks.

**_Qualifications:_**
- Post-Secondary education in a EHS related field or comparable work experience
- Minimum, 3 years of relevant experience preferably in a chemical production or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of current safety legislation and WHMIS 2015/GHS
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility to work outside of core hours where required.
- Well-developed facilitation and training skills
- Calm, diplomatic, and pleasant demeanor
- Collaborative and team focused leadership style
