**THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE**

Serious grounds keeping skills (you worked in this industry, not just mowed your grandma’s lawn)
- Physical strength and stamina (it’s hard, outdoor work)
- Clear and respectful communication skills (everything flows better when people communicate well)
- Ability to manage your own time efficiently (yeah, you have to adult without being supervised)
- Problem solving & critical thinking skills (can you handle the unpredictable?)
- A reputation for being dependable and responsible (our clients trust us; we’d have to trust you with our clients)
- Ability to learn new technology quickly (we use a lot of apps for stuff like safety and time tracking)
**IN THIS ROLE YOU WOULD BE**:
- Hauling grounds keeping equipment to multiple commercial sites in and around Calgary
- Operating a variety of grounds keeping equipment (lawn mower, trimmer, hedge pruner, sweeper, blower, etc.)
- Spring and fall cleanup of garden beds
- Edging, pruning, fertilizing and weed control
- Participating in morning meetings with the crew to gain full understanding of projects and the daily and weekly goals.
- Participating in the care, cleaning & organizing of equipment, tools and trucks
- Performing snow removal tasks such as snow plowing, sweeping, blowing, shoveling, etc. from November - March
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
- Available for at least 5 months fulltime work (May - September)
- Consistent, reliable transportation to our location (between Calgary and Okotoks)
- 1 full season of grounds keeping experience
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labour for long periods of time
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions
- Hazards associated with conducting work outdoors
- Lifting, moving, or manipulating heavy objects
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
- Regular exposure to conditions including cold, heat, humidity, and dust
- Weekend and overnight work during snow removal season
- Repetitive work
- Use of required personal protective equipment
- Exposure to high noise levels
- Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade
**Schedule**
- Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM from April - October
- On-call 24/7 for snow removal from November - March
