**Duties**:
The Vice President of Communications and Engagement leads the delivery of key programs and services at the CER, including internal and external communications, translation and official languages, engagement, and grants and contributions. They also oversee activities coordinated through the CER’s regional offices in Montreal and Vancouver.
The Vice President ensures alignment with the CER’s strategic priorities and the effective, efficient delivery of services. They provide expert advice on regulatory, policy, and issues management to senior leadership, including the CEO, Commission, and Board of Directors. The Vice President leads the CER’s core responsibility of Engagement and is the executive accountable for the Trust and Confidence strategic priority.
They manage financial and human resources within delegated authority, define team visions and goals, mentor staff, foster team cohesion, and collaborate across the organization.
Thriving in a fast-paced environment, the Vice President is adaptable, proactive in identifying risks and opportunities, and committed to continuous improvement.
They may act on behalf of the Executive Vice President, Transparency and Strategic Engagement, when required.
