Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a fast-paced environment. If you have a passion for food and enjoy working in a kitchen setting, we would love to hear from you.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in quality cooking in a long term care setting. Must enjoy working in a long term care setting. Must be able to communicate in English including written documentation. Has acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and is visually appealing
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $22.87-$23.36 per hour

Expected hours: 7.5 - 37.5 per week

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
