We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to advance the mission of Christ in Central Halifax by overseeing all elements of Parish operations.

Reporting to the Administrator, the Operations Manager is the administrative and operational coordinator for the parish. Key areas of responsibilities would include Change Management, Parish and Office Administration and Parish Property Maintenance. In coordination with the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth s/he will oversee development, implementation, and enforcement of all policies. S/he will work with the Finance Council to ensure the creation and management of budgets and forecasts. S/he will manage resources and staff and engage and motivate volunteers in conjunction with the pastoral leadership and in the context of a Catholic faith community.

This position requires a broad set of competencies, sensitivities, and a depth of knowledge and understanding of the administration of our Parishes and the Catholic Faith.
- has a business-related degree, diploma or certificate;
- has worked in a management position for a minimum of 5 years;
- is knowledgeable in organizational effectiveness and operations management;
- displays and maintains an active spiritual life rooted in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, is committed to personal prayer, and active participation in a church community;
- has a depth of knowledge of the Catholic faith; operational knowledge of Catholic Parishes and churches would be an asset;
- has a solid understanding of business administration and financial principles, including financial planning, auditing, and budgeting;
- has strong organizational and communication skills;
- can problem-solve and multi-task to handle a wide range of duties, properties, and personalities.

This is a full-time, two-year contract position of 35 hours per week, which include some evenings and weekends.
