**Job Overview**

The role of the Medical Office Assistant to the Physician is to warmly greet patients and perform all associated administrative duties related to the position.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist physician in ensuring all aspects of charting are up to date and completed
- Transcribe verbal patient communication on behalf of MD
- Assist in EMR rollout
- Personal work assistant to the physician
- Provide worksheets and stamp to physician prior to commencing his or her shift start.
- Act as a liaison between the physicians and nurses. Provide them with relevant updates as needed.
- Transcribe verbal conversation from the physician to the patient in EMR without signing name to chart. Physicians review/revise conversation and sign off on documentation.
- Maintain a friendly demeanor with patients while still enforcing the rules and policies of the workplace.
- Remind patients about in-house pharmacy, self-management, and other programs.
- Prepare and print all paperwork all necessary paperwork.
- Train new staff as needed.
- Attending meeting as required and report performance to Senior Management.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- A minimum three (3) years of experience in an administrative role. Clinic experience preferred.
- Proficiency with medical (EMR) software preferred
- CPR/First Aid preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work from other clinic locations occasionally required.

Expected hours: 16 - 29 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Mon-Tues-Thurs
- Weekends as needed

**Job Type**: Part-time
