BASIC PURPOSE_
- Working together with the Project Manager and other participants on the Project Team(s), will be responsible for project management functions.
- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES_
- Primary responsibility is to provide daily support to the Project Manager(s) ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date.
- Work with the Project Team(s) to assist in the design, estimates and schedules.
- Manage contract changes, field orders, site instructions, correspondence, etc.
- Create and implement log sheets for site instructions, change orders, change requests, drawings, and site clarification.
- Coordinate communication and exchange of information with internal/external consultants, sub-trades, and project team(s) participants (distribute drawings, coordinate meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes, coordinate receipt and distribute O&M Manuals).
- Assist with preparation of bid requests (re-produce contract drawings & bid documents, prepare bid list, contact bidders, prepare contract documents for execution, complete bid comparisons, etc.)
- Monitor Timberline costs and assist Project Managers with monthly fee projections.
- Ensure project costs are correctly entered into Timberline job costing to match estimate costs and coding.
- Provide support to site superintendent as required with respect to documentation, correspondence and site requests.
- Other duties as may be identified by the Project Manager.
- QUALIFICATIONS_
- Process piping experience such as feed mills, water treatment facilities, canola crush plants, and other food handling facilities.
- Understanding of ABSA or similar piping certifications and exposure to ASME B31.3-2020.
- Experience with food processing piping and sanitary design.
- Familiarity reading and understanding piping schematics, P&IDs, and process piping drawings.
- Management and coordination experience of integrated piping design and fabrication.
- A minimum of 2-5 years of progressive experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry is required.
- An aptitude for self-performed home projects such as DIY home-renovations and hands-on hobbies would be considered a strength.
- Well-developed oral and written communications, and interpersonal skills
- Appropriate level of experience associated with engineering/architectural design or construction firms would be an asset.
- Must possess a high level of organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Must be proficient with MS Office and MS Project.
- Experience with Timberline and AutoCAD would be an asset.
- Knowledge of construction sub-trades would be an asset
- Some travel required.
