Class Facilitator Volunteer

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Classroom Management**:
- Assist in maintaining a positive and organized classroom environment.
- Help students stay focused on their lessons and tasks.
- Encourage and motivate students to participate and engage in class activities.
**Support Instruction**:
- Aid the Lead Instructor during lessons by providing additional support to students.
- Help clarify instructions and provide one-on-one assistance as needed.
- Facilitate group activities and discussions to enhance learning.
**Student Assistance**:
- Respond to individual student needs, including academic, personal, and behavioral concerns.
- Assist students with personal needs, such as bathroom breaks, ensuring they return promptly and safely.
- Monitor and support students as they enter and exit the classroom, ensuring safety and order.
**Administrative Support**:
- Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining technology and equipment used in lessons.
- Record attendance and keep track of student progress and behavior.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting.
- Strong interest in technology and coding; familiarity with basic coding concepts is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
**Working Conditions**:
- Part-time hours, with flexibility based on class schedules.

- Opportunity to teach at the community centers to earn additional experiences
- Classroom environment with frequent interactions with students and instructors.
- Occasional physical activity, such as assisting students with mobility or setting up classroom materials.
**Job Type**: Apprenticeship
Pay: From $0.01 per hour
Expected hours: 1 per week
