An established commercial millwork operation located in the Fraser Valley serving the local BC commercial and retail market is looking for a **Plant Manager** to lead our production operations. Our company is expanding steadily each year as our reputation for quality and organization continues to grow.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager that will be the right fit with our existing team of qualified designers, managers and production staff and a proven performer that can keep our major projects organized, on time and on budget while maintaining quality expectations.

As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining business success by identifying, qualifying, and overseeing millwork projects within the decided-upon budgets, timelines, and scope and ensuring plant operations align with company goals. The functions include business development, organizing, planning, management and mentoring - all while collaborating with sub-contractors and colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all plant operations including custom production, job scheduling, material flow, and quality control.
- Ensure efficient and accurate time tracking, project status updates, labour cost analysis, risk identification and issue resolution.
- Oversee and monitor inbound material inventories in order to comply with pre-determined production schedules and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering to ensure shop drawings and cutlists are accurate, clear and complete for production staff use.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with WSBC standards.
- Monitor KPIs such as throughput, labor efficiency, and project deadlines.
- Providing weekly projections to the executive team as well as updating relevant stakeholders / team members on project progress.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs or upgrades as needed.
- Fostering and maintaining positive, cooperative working relationships with and amongst production team members as well as internal and external clients.
- Resolving client issues that arise with high customer service standards.
- Collaborating with senior management as it relates to budgets, expenses, and profits as well as detecting cost-related issues.
- Coaching and mentoring team members.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in a custom commercial millwork production operation.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial millwork processes and materials.
- Strong business acumen as it relates to production management. Demonstrated ability to manage production budgets and schedules within project expectations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, leadership and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret shop drawings, production schedules, and labor reports.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Proven written / verbal communication and interpersonal skills to lead diverse, cross
- functional teams.

**Compensation**

An attractive compensation package is offered with a high-quality benefits package and a mixture of base pay and incentive bonus for production performance. Applicants with either a history or expectation of earnings between 85K to 100K per year should expect a similar level of earnings per year. Negotiable based on years of experience, education and skills, key proficiencies and responsibility level.

Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
