**Who we need**
Right now, we’re looking to add a Machine Shop Line Coordinator to our team, working the continental shift from 7 am to 7 pm - Sun, Mon and Tue, and every other Wednesday. You will be responsible for coordinating the work of a team of 12 machine operators. You will review the production schedule, assign individuals to machines, ensure the correct setup, and report on the productivity level.
Whether you are a new grad with warehouse experience or a machine operator looking to move up to the coordinator level, this is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing Canadian company. You will have the chance to expand your hands-on and people management skills while positioning yourself for the next step in your career here.
**You will focus on**:
- Coordinate the work of the team. You will assign tasks, oversee setup, and ensure the schedule is adhered to. You will analyze problems and make changes as necessary to ensure optimal productivity.
- Share knowledge. You will take the initiative to participate in training and learn the operation of all machines. You will train others as needed.
**You have**:
- The experience. You are familiar with a warehouse or production environment. You may have exposure to different types of production equipment. Or, you are mechanically inclined and can engage in machine operation training, stepping in for any team member safely and effectively. You are perceptive and logical with an ability to plan and deliver high-quality production results on time. You are comfortable using Excel and learning how to use an ERP system. You have a growth mindset.
- The interpersonal skills. You have flexible and effective communication skills. You can lead a team, guiding their work and ensuring accuracy and productivity. You can build trust and work with management. You can critically think about issues that arise and work towards a solution.
- The flexibility. You can work from 7 am-7 pm, including weekends when required.
