**About the Role**

**Roles & Responsibilities**
The Team Member, Facilities is responsible for supporting the facilities team in the overall maintenance of the facility. This role is part of the team and will involve performing preventative maintenance measures, new equipment installations, 3rd party contractor supervision, and parts runs.
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks Ensures that procedures are being followed and all areas of premises and equipment and building systems are being properly maintained and operational.
- Access and maintain all tools are organized and let Facilities Supervisor know when replacement is necessary.
- Informs Manager of any facility safety problems (presence of pests, inability to properly maintain equipment, any needed cleaning equipment, leaks, etc.)
- Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Escort contractors through the building.
- Communicate with managers, supervisors on an hourly basis.
- Ability to use power tools safely and efficiently.
- Cleaning duties including, scrubbing toilets, walls, counters, sinks, mopping floors, production equipment, and any other surface which is required.
- Minor maintenance and installations on building systems such as hanging pictures, drywall repair, minor plumbing repair, and any other minor repairs to any building systems throughout the building.
- Moving and lifting up to 50lbs on a regular basis to move equipment, deliveries, skids, furniture, and other heavy items which may be required to be relocated around the facilities or grounds.

**Education & Experience**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance position
- Must have good knowledge of tools, building systems, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
- Strong communication skills to work with various departments and contractors
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- DZ license an asset
- Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights, and weekends if needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Available to travel to company locations within the GTA
- Must pass an RCMP security clearance
- Night shift availability when required.
- Over time availability when required.
**Physical Demands**
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to be able to lift up to and including 50lbs, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and reach with arms/hands. Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items is occasionally required. The employee must wear the required PPE to complete their job functions. The company reserves the right to modify PPE requirements based on regulatory, compliance and operational needs.
**Work Environment**
