**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
**Data Management**
Responsible for data collection, extraction, transfer, analysis and the management of the systems that support program functions
Optimize and enhance the EMR in order to support the delivery of evidence based care
Ensure client records are created, maintained, stored and transmitted in accordance with applicable legislation and policy.
Validate the design, implementation and optimization of EMRs in order to support the delivery, of evidence based care.
Support EMR orientation for new staff.
Collaborate with the inter-professional team on clinical protocol/templates, and required documentation.
Ensure clinical practices are accurately, efficiently reflected, and supported in the EMR
Act as CCCKL liaison with Data Management teams from other Alliance members and other regional or provincial bodies as required.
**Data Analysis**
Extract and analyze data to identify trends and support decision-making.
Develop and leverage visualizations and dashboards using appropriate tools (e.g. Power BI, Excel, etc.) to convey complicated data.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and reporting needs.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve program and/or administrative outcomes.
**Performance and Risk management**
Conduct and maintain documentation audits.
Manage the monitoring and reporting of clinical and non-clinical program performance, excluding financial performance.
Draft and update policies for data collection, usage, and storage.
Regularly review policies to align with evolving legal and operational requirements.
Ensure the organization remains compliant with healthcare data standards.
In collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, review and revise current policies to ensure that they support quality and risk management aspects of agency operations.

**KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION**
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field with 3 years of experience, or the equivalent combination of work experience and education with prior experience in data analysis or a related field.
Training in data collection, extraction, analysis and management.
Proficiency with tools like Excel and SQL (structured query language) for data manipulation and analysis.
Knowledge of relational databases and querying using SQL.
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power Previous experience working with electronic medical records.
Accuracy in working with datasets to avoid errors in analysis.
Knowledge of Ontario Healthcare and Reporting Standards (OHRS) and community health reporting requirements.
Able to identify data discrepancies and develop practical solutions.
Experience in assessing training requirements and providing training in data entry, data support and reporting.
Experience in strategic and/or operational risk management and demonstrated capacity to identify and respond quickly to emerging issues and priorities.
Advanced analytical capacity, including critical thinking and writing skills to drive actionable insights.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Understanding of PHIPPA & related legislation.
Ability to receive direction and work independently, seeking clarification as required.
