Mill Operator

Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a **Mill Operator**at **Martensville, SK.**facility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate all milling equipment, including grain cleaning, dehulling, kilning, flaking and oat flour manufacturing systems.

- Steam heat treatment of raw and finished products.

- Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs on milling equipment.

- Test finished products and work in progress to ensure adherence to quality standards.

- Perform cleaning duties as assigned to meet standards in all areas of the mill and grounds.

- Accurately complete documentation for all processes.

- Operates in accordance with all food safety, safety, and fire prevention regulations and practices.

- Maintain cleanliness of production areas including sweeping floors and blowing down equipment.

- Perform other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 or equivalent.

- Must be able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

- Computer knowledge an asset.

- Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs.

- Solid oral and written communication skills.

- Solid problem solving and trouble shooting skills.

- Able to work in a processing environment and adverse conditions (heights, steam processing and hot environments).

- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
