**About the Role**:
The Trauma program nurtures connection and safety in the caregiver-child relationship after experiencing trauma. Children and youth may come into the program via one of three streams: the Outpatient Trauma Clinic, the Trauma and Attachment Group (TAG) or Consultative Services.

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Supervisor supports an interprofessional team by overseeing clinical care, staff orientation, daily operations, and performance management. The role leads staff development and training, contributes to program development, evaluation, and quality improvement, and ensures services align with CASA standards, codes of ethics, and evidence-informed best practices.

**The Program Supervisor will**:

- Provide program leadership by supporting staff development, evidence-informed practice, family-centered care, adherence to CASA standards, and effective communication and collaboration with program management.
- Oversee day-to-day clinical service delivery by managing referrals, admissions, staff scheduling, case assignments, and workload distribution, while supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance feedback, and coverage to ensure effective patient care.
- Support staff development and clinical supervision through onboarding, training, coaching, performance planning, and regulatory supervision, while monitoring documentation standards and collaborating with the Program Manager on education and practice improvements.
- Contribute to program planning and development by supporting operational planning, assisting with program initiatives, and coordinating annual development retreats and related processes as directed by the Program Manager.
- Promote patient safety by reviewing and reporting safety events, leading staff debriefs, modeling effective communication, and participating in accreditation processes as directed by the Program Manager.
- Support evaluation and quality improvement by contributing to framework development, training staff on data requirements, monitoring data collection, collaborating on program enhancements, and participating in special projects.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development and the impact of trauma and mental illness on children’s development, health and well-being.
- Training and experience in sensory and somatic modalities, bilateral simulation-based trauma processing and attachment focused play-based interventions.
- Demonstrated leadership with strong organizational interpersonal, and communication skills, fostering collaboration and consensus across teams.
- Commitment to excellence in clinical practice, supervision, education, and evidence-based decision making.
- Skilled in program design, evaluation, quality improvement, and knowledge translation to enhance service delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with flexibility, adaptability, and the capacity to work independently or within interprofessional teams.
- Knowledge of clinical standards, relevant legislation, and advanced technical proficiency with MS office and formal documentation.
- Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, the impacts of trauma and mental illness, and experience supporting caregivers with intergenerational trauma and varied attachment styles.
- Training and experience in sensory and somatic modalities (e.g., SMART), bilateral stimulation trauma therapies (e.g., ART, EMDR), and attachment-focused/play-based interventions (e.g., Theraplay) are considered assets, as is experience with blended, adoptive, foster, and kinship families.
- Skilled in group therapy development and facilitation, with the ability to engage and monitor staff clinical work across both in-person and virtual platforms.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in a relevant health discipline (e.g., psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing) from an accredited institution.
- Active registration with the appropriate Alberta regulatory body; in some cases, national registration may be acceptable.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical practice in child and family mental health and/or youth addictions and with demonstrated clinical supervision experience (staff supervision required; student supervision considered an asset).
- Specialized training and/or experience in leadership, management, or advanced clinical practice within the health discipline.
- Advanced knowledge and expertise in child and adolescent mental health, complex cases, and/or innovative therapeutic techniques,
