As a member of the NSCSC Industry Services Team, the Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling communications and marketing content for both the NSCSC and its affiliated organizations, with a focus on digital platforms.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Collaborate in the creation of impactful social media posts, press releases, announcements, profiles, official internal and external communications, and marketing materials.
- Contribute to the development and execution of communication plans, brand strategies, and promotional campaigns.
- Manage editorial calendars and streamline content development workflows.
- Conduct research to inform strategic communications planning.
- Monitor media activity and disseminate relevant content to the NSCSC team and partners.
- Assist in the creation and editing of reports.
- Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing and communication efforts.
- Provide support in other areas of industry service, such as event planning and management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset, adept at building and nurturing relationships with industry and media partners.
- Previous experience managing social media in a professional setting.
- Strong creative and professional writing abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Education in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Communications, or related field, or relevant work experience.
- Valid driver's license and access to transportation.

Additional Skills and Experiences:
**Work Environment**

Primarily a small office environment.

This position will be required to complete a criminal record and child abuse registry check. Individuals must be able to meet physical demands as required, including (but not limited to): lifting, pushing, pulling of approximately 50 lbs., bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.

**About the Organization**

The Nova Scotia Construction Sector Council (NSCSC) is a not-for-profit organization established to communicate and consult with the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) construction sector on matters relating to human resource planning, research, and skills development.

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
