**Class 1 Driver (Local Area only)** **Help Build a Living legacy.** Alpha Better Landscaping is currently building in the following communities: Legacy, Wolf Willow, Seton, Cornerstone, Livingston, Carrington, Evanston, Rockland Park, Watermark, Haskayne (Bearspaw), Heartland (Cochrane) South shores, Waterford, Chelsea (Chestermere) We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to operate a Rock truck with the pup to deliver gravel, shale, dirt to various locations throughout Calgary. Your day will begin and end at our shop in the SE part of the city. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the green industry This is a seasonal position April to Nov, winter snow removal positions may be available. **Job Duties & Responsibilities**: - Adheres to company policy, safety policy, and highway traffic act. - Performs regular maintenance such as greasing and checking fluid levels daily. - Performs daily pre-trip checks. - Pull pup and trailer and tie down equipment properly and safely. - Perform minor repairs. - In and out of the vehicle on a frequent basis to the site location and unloading location. **Experience/Skill Requirements**: - 3 years of experience operating Class 1 trucks. - Possess a fairly clean driver’s abstract. - Has knowledge of the City of Calgary. - Able to work Monday through Saturday varying from 8-12 hours per day. - Paid O/T after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week. - Have autonomy to plan your day accordingly to get the job done. **We can offer you**: - We offer competitive wages as well as overtime after 8 hours per day and 44 hours per week. - Must be willing to work 8 - 12 hour days Monday to Friday, every other Saturday. - Must have steel-toed boots (8" at Ankle). - Possess a clean driver abstract. - Recognition programs. - Great team. - Career advancement opportunities. - The opportunity to work year-round with snow removal in the winter months. - We additionally sponsor employees wanting to pursue a longterm landscaping career through training and apprenticeship programs. **About Alpha Better Landscaping**: Our mission and core purpose is, "Building a Living Legacy."
