**About the Role**:
We are seeking a skilled Prepress Technician to join our dynamic team in Mississauga. The Prepress Operator will be responsible for preparing digital files for print production by ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and proper formatting. This role involves file preflight, troubleshooting, and working closely with the design and production teams to ensure all jobs are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

**Responsibilities**
- **Key Responsibilities**:

- Review and preflight customer-supplied files for print readiness (fonts, images, colors, resolution, etc.)
- Prepare, correct, and impose files according to job specifications and press requirements.
- Perform color management and proofing to ensure accurate output.
- Create digital and hardcopy proofs for client approval.
- Operate and maintain prepress equipment and software, including RIPs and proofing devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to files, output, or workflow.
- Collaborate with designers, account managers, and press operators to ensure job accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain file management systems, job records, and workflow documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, deadlines, and client expectations.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Diploma/Certificate in Graphic Communications, Printing, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and prepress/RIP software.
- Strong knowledge of file formats, imposition, trapping, bleeds, and color spaces.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve file issues quickly.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Knowledge of offset, digital, and large-format printing processes is an asset.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

**Working Conditions**:

- Fast-paced print production environment.
- Requires extended periods of computer use.
- Occasional overtime or flexible hours may be required to meet deadlines.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
