Recreation vehicle technicians examine, troubleshoot and diagnose units needing repair and maintenance. They install, repair and maintain interior and exterior components on motor homes, travel trailers, fifth wheel trailers, truck campers, tent trailers and van conversions.
- The Apprentice Technician works under the guidance of a journeyman and performs maintenance of propane and electrical appliances, minor plumbing and carpentry.
- Other Duties as required by the Foreman or Service Manager

**Education**
- Basic shop skills
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Must be willing to enroll in certified RV Technician training (24 weeks of technical training over a 3-4 year period, and a minimum of 1600 hours of on-the-job-training per year)
- Must be willing to take regular WHMIS and First Aid training as provided by the company.

**Work Environment**:

- The RV Technician works 70% of the time in the service shop.
- The RV Technician may be required to handle labeled chemicals, and lift loads in excess of 25 kilograms.
- They may be required to work off site for trailer repairs, or for RV Shows.
- They will be required to work the occasional weekend and evening, especially during the busy season of April through September.
- They will be expected to attend classes off site to attain their Journeyman status. They will not be paid wages for the time attending classes

- Good manual dexterity and balance while working off the ground
- The ability to periodically lift in excess of 25 kilograms
- Troubleshooting and problem
