**Our firm is currently seeking a contract word processing specialist to join our team of professionals. The individual will be responsible for timely completion of correspondence, editing of financial statements, proofreading of financial statements and documents, and expected to handle additional administrative responsibilities as required. The position will suit an individual that is extremely detail oriented and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. The individual must be able and willing to work flexible hours with overtime required during our peak season (February to April), depending on business volume. The position offers a collaborative and engaging work environment, with the possibility of full time employment at the conclusion of the contract.**

Roles and responsibilities include:

- Responsible for timely preparation of financial statements and correspondence
- Editing of documents using proper business English, spelling, grammar and punctuation
- Proofreading letters, documents and financial statements
- Checking and re-performing calculations in financial statements
- Assembly of financial statements
- Assembly of tax returns
- Working closely with other administrative team members to ensure accuracy and consistency in all documents
- Answering and directing incoming calls in a professional, courteous and attentive manner
- Assisting partners and staff with typing of correspondence as required
- Performing additional administrative duties as required

Experience and education:

- Must be **extremely detailed oriented**
- Must possess excellent grammar and writing skills
- Must be able to multitask in a dynamic team environment
- Detailed focused with the ability to complete tasks with limited supervision
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple requirements and deadlines
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters appropriately
- Must be a dependable team player that works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team oriented environment
- Must possess a professional attitude
- Must present a positive, supportive and outgoing attitude at all times
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of office specific software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, CaseView, TaxPrep) would be an asset
- Some knowledge of accounting and financial terminology would be an asset
- Standard work hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8:00 to 4:00. Overtime is occasionally required
- Two years of relevant word processing and administrative experience
