Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician

**We are a 24 hour clinic and availability for all shifts including weekends and holidays is a requirement. Night Shift premium in addition to hourly rate.**

Our Technicians are responsible for:

- Providing effective emergency support
- Performing procedures including, but not limited to,
- Emergency triage
- Blood draws
- Laboratory analysis
- Radiology
- Catheterization
- Anesthesia
- Surgical support
- Blood transfusions
- Continued care for hospitalized patients
- General cleanliness of the clinic
- Working within a team environment
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent customer service
- Professional demeanor
- Sense of humour
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective time management skills as we are a fast paced, high volume hospital
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Excellent client/patient rapport
- Ability to be self-directed and also to work in a team environment
- Accuracy in billing, charting and cash handling
- Ability to multi task
- A minimum of 1 years experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal, Freelance

**Salary**: $26.00-$30.00 per hour

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Vet tech: 1 year (preferred)
