**Description**:
Working within a team-based environment, the Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector is responsible for practising the quality assurance processes, tasks and responsibilities which contribute to the efficient and safe operation of the organization and contribution to the effectiveness of all Baytech employees. QA techs are part of the leadership team on the shift with the supervisor and senior setup tech.
Ability to work rotating shifts, 8hr and 12hr, grade 12 or equivalent, ability to lift light to moderate parts. Full time benefits after completion of probation.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Conduct quality audits on plastic parts based on specified criteria and record results digitally and manually.
- Ability to use various types of gauges and measuring equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- General administration: Prepare reports, ensure all quality records are up to date and filed correctly. General filing, data entry and other various office type tasks.
- Train machine operators on quality standards and applicable procedures; ensure enforcement of procedures and policies.
- Must wear proper PPE and follow all specified guidelines.
- Participate in new product introduction teams
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities

**Requirements**:

- Computer literacy (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, Inventory management system an asset
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality management system is an asset
- Good knowledge of math
- Knowledge of Imperial and Metric system
- Experience with measuring devices (Verniers, micrometers etc) is an asset
- Good attention to detail - Good communication skills
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team

Rotations: (Must be able to work both)

MAD (8 Hour Shifts)

Midnight: 11pm-7am

Afternoons: 3pm-11pm

Days: 7am-3pm

Continental (12 Hour Shifts)

Two Weeks Days

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Two Weeks Nights

Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Week 4: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday

Hours range based on schedule rotation; between 36-48 hours weekly.
