We are seeking a **Student Support Services**to join our Academics team supporting Academy of Learning Career College. The **Student Support Services**will report to the Manager, Student Services. We believe the strongest asset to supporting students in their own career paths is knowledgeable and dedicated employees.

**Role Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide a positive and professional representation of AOLCC.
- Ensure students are aware of the importance and details of Student Loan Repayment.
- Ensure proactive involvement and awareness in students’ progress and academic behavior, be ready to intervene, counsel, coach and create action plans as needed.
- Establish and maintain positive community relations to facilitate awareness of employers for our graduates and potential sources of new students.
- Ensure attendance and progress of students is reported daily from facilitators and instructors.
- Maintain accurate and detailed student files including FOIP/PIPEDA, funding sources, programs and lengths, withdrawals, funding freezes, absences, employment opportunities and all other communications.
- Contribute information and reporting to management in a timely manner as requested.
- Record accurate and timely KPI data monthly and examine results for continuous improvement.
- Instruct and coach students on resume writing, job search techniques and interview skills.
- Participate in events such as student appreciation, orientations, open houses, graduations, trade shows, etc., as required.

**Qualifications**
- Some university/college courses are an asset.
- Three years’ experience in counseling, educating, or supporting adults is an asset.
- High attention to detail, ensures accuracy and professionalism in all documentation.
- Proficient with technology (MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Highly proficient communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to manage diversity and make timely decisions.

- Monday to Friday
- **Flexible Language Requirement**:

- French not required

**Ability to Commute/Relocate**:Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
- 1-2 years in a position directly related to consultation with clients

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
