**Description**:
Reporting to the Assistant Coordinator - Public Spaces, the incumbent of the Supervisor - Sports Facilities position supervises the activities of his/her unit. The incumbent is primarily responsible for supervising the maintenance work in parks and public spaces that is carried out by the team members in his/her division and by contract resources and companies hired for carrying out mandates.

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of all public facilities, equipment, and buildings, in order to support sustainable development and improve citizens’ quality of life.

**General responsibilities and goals**:The incumbent’s primary responsibilities are as follows**:

- Supervising the maintenance operations of landscaping, paths, lawns, parks, sports facilities and green spaces, play areas, play equipment, outdoor pools, skating rinks;
- Supervising the inspections of infrastructures, parks, sports facilities and public spaces with his/her team members and contract resources in order to identify problems and priorities;
- Evaluating and proposing solutions;
- Consulting, using and tracking work requests;
- Entering the required information into the management software that is in effect in the department;
- Being involved in the employees’ seasonal categorization by equipment;
- Complying with the terms of Act 430 during interventions;
- Evaluating the performance and development needs of his/her staff;
- Managing the vehicles and tools required for operations;
- Other associated duties.

**Job requirements**:

- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) specialized in Horticulture or a related filed;
- Three to five years of experience in a similar position is required;
- Good knowledge of French and English to hold a conversation, participate in a meeting or give simple instructions;
- Experience in the maintenance of landscaping, grassy surfaces and/or maintenance of outdoor pools would be considered an asset;
- A CPO (Certified Pool Officer) certification would be considered an asset;
- Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s licence;
- Sufficient computer skills to produce reports and written communications.

**Schedule**:
38 hours per week
Monday to Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
