Child and Youth Worker

Support Worker Job Description.

We are a family who is dedicated to planning a better life for our Autistic

son and supporting him to achieve a more meaningful life in the community. As a

Support Worker you will provide support to him to contribute to his community and to help him learn what he needs to take up his adult role.

1) Literacy /Numeracy support : Support Abdullah to learn reading, writing and

typing skills.

2)Support with communication and social skills: Support him to make himself

understood and to consistently communicate what he wants and what he needs.

3) Provide companionship; Support Abdullah to go for walk in the neighbourhood and riding a Bike safely.

4) Provide Personal Care: Support Abdullah with his routines includes shower,

toileting, Dressing, brushing teeth and feeding, etc.

5)Administer medicines

6)Meal Prep

7)Provide Transportation around the community. You MUST have your own car and insurance.

8)Engage him in structured activities such as table tasks and various games

9) light housekeeping As needed (dishesand clean his room and palying area)

Shifts:
Mon-Friday

Evening: 4pm -10 pm

Night shift: 8pm-12 daily

Sat: 5pm-midnight

I am flexible with hours.You can do less or more hours.

Please Note: My house is smoke and Fragrant free.

Must put on mask and you must be fully vaccinated.

You must have your own car and insurance.

Must have valid police clearance not more than 6 months older and valid CPR.

**Salary**: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday

- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- LaSalle, ON N9H 0G2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
