McColl Therapy provides counselling and rehabilitation services in Alberta for mental health and work-life participation. We assist with a wide range of concerns through evidence-based psychosocial interventions. We are seeking a skilled Registered Psychologist to enhance our treatment of people experiencing mental health and trauma-related issues. Our team includes occupational therapists addressing home and function needs, supporting behavioral activation, and facilitating exposure therapy.
We work with private clients, insurers, and government agencies to support people in recovery and return to meaningful life.
**Job description**
This role will develop a private practice caseload with McColl Therapy. Caseloads are developed gradually, intaking clients in a paced manner to ensure high quality of treatment. The pay scale is split of the referral source's rate of reimbursement.
As a Registered Psychologist, you are a calm and confident guide through one's therapeutic journey. You manage a caseload of clients to provide assessment and treatment services for their benefit. With a client-centered, strengths-based clinical lens, you address the mental health and trauma-related issues impeding your client's ability to function and thrive. You are expected to provide the most appropriate modality of treatment for your client, which may include telehealth, community, or client-home appointments. Travel time for community and client-home attendance is reimbursed.
In addition to delivering direct clinical services, work demands include regular case conference with the team clinical supervisor, timely reporting duties, and accountability to the contract specific terms of working with referrals from various agencies.
Regular clinical support is available with weekly review of cases expected. Training and supervision is provided on an ongoing basis to address challenge points in the therapeutic process.
Experience and trainings that would be an asset include:
- Training in evidence-based mental health therapies
- Training in EMDR and other trauma-focused therapies
- Comprehensive and vocational assessment experience
- Experience facilitating return-to-work
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 10-40 per week
**Salary**: $120.00-$150.00 per hour
