Safety Training Facilitator

**The Role**
We are looking for a **Contract Industrial Safety Trainer** to join our team in Dartmouth, NS to grow and deliver Hercules SLR approved industrial safety training programs to the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick area.

**Principle Responsibilities**
The Industrial Safety Trainer will be responsible to facilitate training programs for both external and internal customers. Training programs include Rigging, Overhead Crane, Working at Heights, Forklift Operator, Elevated Work Platform, and Confined Space Entry.
**Accountabilities**
- Prepare and deliver professional training programs
- Manage the effectiveness of training practices (scheduling, management of training aids and equipment etc.)
- Deliver training programs to the Hercules SLR standards to clients
**Required knowledge and training**
- Post secondary education - in health and safety or other related field or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years experience in an adult training/learning role
- Prior operating overhead crane and rigging experience is considered like an asset
- Strong communication skills written and spoken
- Comfortable training over multiple platforms including in person and virtual
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- **Some travel in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick is required for this role**:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
