As a Client Care Representative/Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face (and voice) of our hospital.
Island Tides is a calm, progressive and supportive veterinary hospital where we take pride in providing exceptional care to every patient and client. We follow Fear Free handling protocols and work hard to create a positive experience for everyone in the hospital.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Welcome clients and their pets with warmth, empathy and professionalism
- Maintain organized and up-to-date patient and client records
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and team members
- Help to maintain a clean, organized and calm environment for pets, clients and team members
- Maintain composure in pet emergency or stressful situations
- Provide information to clients regarding preparation for upcoming medical appointments/procedures and clinic policies
**What We're Looking For**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy
- Proficient in computer use and POS machines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Flexibility in scheduling, including willingness to work on Saturdays
