The Country Animal Hospital is a thriving, mixed-animal and equine practice located in the heart the Comox Valley. We are seeking a passionate, dedicated RVT to join our team. who will provide high-quality care to animals while assisting veterinarians in medical & surgical procedures.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Take samples and perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and radiographic diagnostics, procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Place IV catheters, administer and monitor sedation, induce general anesthesia, prep. for elective and non-elective surgeries, Monitor and assist before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and health practices.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the veterinary facility, including equipment sterilization.
- Participate in continuing education to stay updated on veterinary practices and technologies.

Animal Health Technician / Veterinary Technician Diploma, passed the VTNE, be in good standing with the Provincial Regulatory Association, a valid drivers license, drivers abstract and a current criminal record check would be required as well.

Applicants should be comfortable around large dogs and cats, horses, small ruminants and a variety of pet farm animals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 50 per week
