Parking Enforcement Officer

We currently require customer oriented individuals in the position of Parking Enforcement Officer. This position is responsible to patrol an assigned area to ensure public compliance with existing parking ordinance while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

**Schedule**

Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and Saturdays from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

**What Would You Be Doing?**
- Patrol properties to maintain safety
- Maintain close communication with dispatch using two-way radio or cell phone
- Relay information about incidents or emergencies to appropriate personnel
- Write warnings and citations for illegally parked vehicles
- Identify vehicles in violation of parking codes
- Observe and report hazardous conditions such as missing traffic signs or street markings
- Observe and report suspicious objects or vehicles
- Monitor environmental conditions to detect possible hazards (ice, etc.)
- Use hand-held device to enter and retrieve vehicle information
- Investigate and answer complaints regarding contested parking citations
- Prepare and maintain operational records ie: activity logs and contested citations
- Collect coins from parking meters
- Maintain assigned equipment
- Perform simple vehicle maintenance, such as checking oil and report mechanical problems to Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned

**What Are the Working Conditions?**
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and frequent exposure to all temperature conditions
- Frequent bending, stretching, kneeling, and twisting
- Lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required
