**Quality Control & Method Development Technologist**

Do you have a keen attention to detail? We have an exciting opening in our Laboratory department at Cowichan District Hospital in Duncan, BC.

This position is a full-time role in the beautiful Cowichan Valley. We are a busy, medium-sized hospital on Central Vancouver Island. Join our team and experience the year round outdoor activities and the beauty of our island.

As the The Quality Control & Method Development Technologist, you are responsible for maintaining the quality control activities of the Unit and taking appropriate corrective action, including instrument troubleshooting and maintenance.

Under the direction of the Unit Supervisor, and with collaboration from the Technical Coordinator and/or Technical Specialist, you will perform method and instrument evaluations and interpret results, and perform routine and additional laboratory procedures as required.

**Qualifications**
- Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) certification as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- Successful completion of a recognized diploma program in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Three years of recent, related experience.
- Thorough knowledge of quality control and method and instrumentation evaluation procedures related to the appropriate laboratory discipline.

**Salary**: $32.07-$40.10 per hour
