The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) is the official voice of business in the Capital Region. With thousands of business and corporate members, we are one of the largest chambers in Canada and among the most influential business organizations in the country. The Chamber fosters and supports the business environment in the Edmonton region through advocacy to all levels of government, education and support opportunities, and connection to local and business communities.

Reporting to the Director, Events, the Events Coordinator is responsible for pre, during and post event management. This role will be accountable to ensuring a successful event that promotes the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce within the business community in a positive fashion.

**What will you do?**
- Update the Annual Special Events Calendar, launch schedule and distribute Save the Date messages to staff.
- Enter events into the CRM system (ChamberMaster) and post to website once approved.
- Assist in setting up for each event, including sponsor activations (e.g., put materials on chairs, display tables, set up banners).
- Track guest attendance and update the Events team on sales daily.
- Responsible for entering any ticket orders into ChamberMaster and collect payment.
- Follow-up on any past due invoices as required.
- Outreach to members for in-kind agreements and Exhibitors for Taste of the Chamber.
- Liaise with the Sr. Communications Advisors on required graphics for events (web tiles, table card templates, PowerPoint template, etc).
- Create internal event brief document and work with the Sr. Communications Advisors on external event briefs.
- Responsible for ordering event signage and other required print materials, as well as placing order and arrange delivery.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure their requirements are met when hosting an event.
- Act as a point of contact for all event related customer inquiries and escalate to the Director as needed.
- Managing inventory of events supplies and organization of storeroom.

**What do I need to succeed?**
- Post-secondary diploma, or degree in Business Administration, Event Planning, Marketing or equivalent preferred.
- 3-4 years experience working in a customer service and events focused organization.
- Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) to identify, evaluate and explain complex issues in a succinct and understandable manner.
- Adaptability and flexibility to anticipate and respond to the needs of a fast-paced working environment.
- Effective project management skills; the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Ability to foster and maintain trusting and dependable working relationships.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently on individual assigned tasks, as well as ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high degree of quality and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and make responsible decisions in accordance with prescribed policies and processes.
- Microsoft Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Wordrequired.
- Availability to include early mornings, evenings and weekends as required.
- A valid Provincial driver’s license is required as some travel may be required.

**Salary**: $39,397.33-$68,508.50 per year
