**Steele Auto Group** is seeking a **Red Seal Autobody Technician** to join our team

**Red Seal Technician Annual Wage Range: $62,400 - $90,000 +**

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed or certified Technician
- Experience as an Autobody Technician
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to provide an acceptable driver abstract

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams
- Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld

replacement parts into place
- Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
- File, grind, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
- Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
- Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets, and floorboard

insulation
- Performing diagnostic assessments to ensure that all issues have been detected, and that the

customer is willing to have these remedied.
- Wearing safety gear and conducting work in a safe manner.
- Restoring vehicles to their original condition, or better, by repairing, replacing, and upgrading

features of their exterior.
- Ensuring that each vehicle is roadworthy upon completion of the job.
- Checking to see that issues have been resolved to customers' satisfaction.
- Review damage report and plan work to be performed
- Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
- Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
- Facial hair will interfere with the ability to achieve a proper seal on CSA-approved respirators; therefore, it is a requirement that staff must be clean-shaven. If you are unable to maintain a clean shave where the respirator seals to the face for any reason, please inform us in the form of a request for accommodation.
