Job Description**
Summary**: Reporting to the Director, Asset and Facility Maintenance or designate, the Area Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for overseeing multi-site maintenance operations by providing leadership and support to the on-site maintenance team’s highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment according to safety requirements, maintenance systems and processes. This position is responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day on-site maintenance team activities to ensure effective scheduling and execution of maintenance work to minimize cost, drive productivity, quality assurance and to promote a high level of customer satisfaction in accordance with expectations and goals of Horizon North.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
The Area Maintenance Superintendent performs some or all of the following duties:
- Provide leadership and support to the site maintenance team, coordinating maintenance team activities ensuring timely scheduling and execution.
- Provide guidance to the site maintenance team on utilization updating and entering data on CMMS system for quality assurance and cost control. A
- Act as a resource to the maintenance team by providing technical advice and assisting in resolving maintenance issues.
- Provide direction to the maintenance team, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently in line with Horizon North and client policies, procedures and regulatory or other governmental agencies.
- Work closely and liaise with Maintenance Planners to ensure timely scheduling of maintenance work. Provide recommendations for maintenance procedure improvements and implementations.
- Keep current with industrial, technological and legislative changes.
- Ensure that all compliance procedures are in place and all safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all tools and equipment.
- Coordinate with camp personnel, contractors, mechanical and building trades as required.
- Other duties as required within the capabilities of the individual.
**Qualifications**
- Completion of a four-year college program in project management, Journeyman status in the construction industry or similar area of study; or 6 to 8 years of relevant experience and training.
- Three years professional maintenance management experience in mobile services in remote locations with proven leadership abilities.
- Five years technical knowledge and operational experience.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be flexible to travel.
- Proficient with MS Office programs.
- Certification in Standard First Aid.

**Working Conditions**
- Field environment with travel to multiple locations in designated area of responsibility.
