A well-established, family-run further processor of poultry is looking for a sales leader.

The Sales Manager, Food Service & Retail is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and achieve revenue targets in the company’s Food Service and Retail segments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Leads all sales efforts in the national food service and retail segments for the company
- Develops and implements segmented strategies for business development and sales
- Deepens relationships with existing customers and creates new business opportunities
- Conducts meetings in-person or remotely depending on customer preference
- Analyzes market segment trends and sales data to make informed decisions on account strategy, products and pricing
- Assists with the development and introduction of new product offerings
- Coordinates and manages customer presentations, proposal responses and RFP bids
- Works closely with all functional teams - Management, Operations, Finance
- Organizes and attends food service trade show participation as required
- Represents the company as a trusted, professional sales leader

WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Permanent, full-time hybrid position (remote/office mix to be determined)
- Busy office environment with some exposure to production plant (cold environment)
- Willingness to travel, meet in-person with new and existing customers and attend industry events
- Subject to tight deadlines, producing accurate work and responding to requests in a timely manner

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

- University degree or college diploma in Business or related field
- 7-10 years experience in food sales (protein) with success in leadership roles
- Knowledge and understanding of food service and retail competitive landscapes
- Self-starter who can work independently as well as within a team environment
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities
- Good written and verbal English skills
- Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle

**Salary**: $110,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
