Position Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator, responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities, liaising with stakeholders, and assisting in the development and dissemination of resources related to project work. Reporting to the Project Manager, this role involves working closely with Indigenous communities, government bodies, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders, ensuring project milestones are met effectively and in alignment with the project’s vision and objectives.Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Project Coordination: Manage timelines, deliverables, and day-to-day activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Fostering collaborative relationships and coordinating input.
- Event Planning and Coordination: Organize workshops, meetings, and community engagement events, both in-person and virtual, related to the project.
- Project Monitoring and Reporting: Provide project status monitoring and tracking, budget tracking, and documentation., and flag potential issues early.
- Communication and Reporting: Prepare regular project updates, reports, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in project coordination or administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project).
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain detailed records.
- Proficiency with status reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and Indigenous groups.
Additional Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Holds PWGSC Secret security clearance
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, CAPM, or Prince2).
- Experience with grant writing
