MAP Centre for Urban Health Solutions is an interdisciplinary research centre located in St. Michael’s Hospital that seeks to improve health in cities, especially for those who are experiencing marginalization and to reduce barriers to accessing factors essential to health such as appropriate health care and quality housing.

MAP is looking into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on employment, in particular, those with precarious working conditions. We are seeking a part time, casual coordinator to assist on a project that seeks to understand the how the pandemic has affected those with precarious employment conditions and their families during the global COVID-19 pandemic.

The COVID-19 and Precarious Employment (COPE) Study is currently looking for a causal **Research Coordinator I **(estimating 7.5 hours a week to be spread out across the week). This position provides organization and administrative support to research projects at a basic level. Tasks include conducting and coding qualitative interviews with study participants.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Conducting and coding hour long qualitative interviews
- Take part in training for qualitative interviews
- Verifying accuracy of interview transcriptions
- Attend team meetings.
- Ability to work remotely.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelors of Science
- Basic computer skills, particularly word processing and ZOOM
- Excellent communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills are necessary
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and proven ability to learn new skills
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner and flexibility to adapt to changing workload
- Able to keep written records
- Able to understand written and verbal directions
- Professionalism and self-motivation
- Good personal and program time/detail management skills
