**ABOUT CLASS 1 DRIVER**:
The team of Class 1 Drivers plays a vital role in upholding Frozen Solid's commitment to high-quality, reliable, and on-time deliveries and superior customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations. The responsibilities involve operating Class 1 vehicles, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations, and ensuring the timely and secure delivery of cargo. A strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and reliability is also paramount in this position.

**Location: Lethbridge**

**Number of positions: 2**

**Work week: Monday to Friday**

**Shift start time: 6pm to 10pm**

**Shift hours: 10 hour shift**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Operate Class 1 vehicles, including tractor-trailers, in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Safely load, transport, and unload various types of cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transit.
- Monitor the operation of vehicles to ensure safe driving practices following applicable traffic laws; ensure proper use and operation of all company equipment including vehicles and reefers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Efficiently plan delivery routes to optimize delivery schedules, minimize delays, and reduce fuel consumption.
- Communicate with the Dispatchers, other Drivers and customers regarding delivery details as required.
- Complete accurate delivery logs, trip reports, and other required documentation using appropriate software, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
- Obtain signatures as needed.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle, such as checking oil, water, and tire pressure, and report any major maintenance needs to the appropriate department.

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid **Class 1 Driver’s License, with a clean abstract.**
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and transportation regulations.
- **Minimum 2 years’ experience** driving commercial vehicles with three or more axels, such as semi-trailers, or tractor trailers.
- Food industry experience would be considered a strong asset.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills for logistics tracking and documentation, ability to use Excel and the MS Office suite.
- Knowledge of using logistics and dispatch systems (TransPlus and Samsara) considered an asset.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 70lb.
- Sitting for extended periods while driving.
- Climbing in and out of the truck and performing physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
- Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.
- Standing, bending, and walking.
- Other related duties as requested

**HIRING PROCEDURE**:
