About Queensview Café

Queensview Café is a growing, community-focused café and catering business known for fresh, high-quality food and efficient operations. We are seeking a reliable, skilled Chef / Lead Cook to manage the day-to-day kitchen operations and help maintain consistency, quality, and workflow.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys daytime hours, takes pride in execution, and wants to be part of a respectful, well-organized kitchen.

Job Summary:
**Duties**:

- Plan and execute menu items in accordance with food safety standards
- Prepare and execute daily menu items with consistency and quality at a timely manner for the customers
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and health standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with management on menu improvements and specials or catering orders

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in all aspects of kitchen operations
- Experience in restaurant and bartending settings
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating culinary delights
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and management
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience working as cook or in a similar role
- Certification in food service or culinary arts is preferred
- English required, French is an asset

Cuisine experience/expertise in the following is a strong asset:

- Canadian
- European
- Latin
- Caribbean
- (You do not need to specialize in all)_
