Sign Maker

**Job Summary**

Behrends Bronze Inc. is looking to fill the position of Sign Maker, who, under the direction of the Production Manager, will primarily be responsible to ensure compliance with company policies and standards, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery. This position will ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency. This role will also ensure outputs meet production schedules, safety, and quality standards, as well as customer needs. The Sign Maker must possess the following:

- High School Diploma
- Three years of related experience
- Certifications, diplomas or licenses appropriate to signage industry such as

Certified Installation Professional, 3M, Avery, SSIT etc. considered an asset

**Job Duties**
- Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Operate Mimaki JFX flatbed printer
- Operate HP Latex roll Printer
- Operate 84DTS Printer
- Operate Suma and Roland Plotters
- Operate hot and cold Laminators
- Installation of Signage
- Maintain Equipment
- Estimate and gather materials required for production
- Sign Installation
- Lamination of subtrades
- Assembly of signs, dimensioned letters, and extrusions
- Adhere to established safe working procedures and always wear the proper safety equipment
- Analyze work orders, production schedules, and other records or reports to determine production requirements and evaluate current production estimates or outputs
- Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day
- Closely monitor machines for signs of problems while ensuring output is meeting set specifications

**Job Requirements**
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to adapt to new technology
- Degree or diploma in a manufacturing-related field
- Three years of related experience
- Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools required in various assembly processes
- Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Mathematical aptitude and understanding of fractions and thousands of an inch
- Able to work with scale drawings and templates

**Work Conditions**
- Repetitive work
- Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade
- Use of required personal protective equipment
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment
- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 30 kilograms

Behrends Bronze Inc. offers $22 - $27 per hour based on experience. Full paid health benefits and 80% prescription coverage and eye glass. Behrends Bronze Inc. also offers short term and long-term disability coverage.

**Salary**: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
