The Role - Line Cook

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, the Line Cook is responsible for preparation, cooking and packaging of all eat in and take out meals. This role will ensure that the kitchen is prepared for morning and lunch service and bill times are met throughout service.

The

**Responsibilities**:

- Preparing ingredients of the TurF Menu to order
- Cooking and assisting other line cooks in a fast-paced environment
- Following food health and safety procedures and working in a clean, organized manner
- Setting up and stocking stations
- Opening and closing the line
- Managing hot and cold food stations
- Ensuring care is taken for all ingredients and proper food handling techniques are used
- Ensuring correct storing, cleaning and usage of all kitchen equipment and facility

Who You Are
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Confidence working on a line alone
- Ability to guide and lead other line cooks
- Early Morning/Weekend availability
- Deep passion for seasonal, plant based, and ingredient driven food based around local and organic farming
- Strong cooking technique and an eye for detail
- Understanding and appreciation for nutrition and healthy living
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)
