**About the role**

The Electro-Mechanical Technician will work alongside the R&D team to aid in the design process, manufacture components and build assemblies from design drawings, understand requirements, and come up with creative test scenarios in order to verify system functionality. Furthermore, they will read and execute manufacturing procedures and test protocols to ensure that internal documentation procedures are met while recording results. The individual will also evaluate, assemble, and maintain mechanical and electrical/electronic systems.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Reviewing design drawings and providing input on manufacturing feasibility.
- Manufacturing components using brazing equipment, machines and power tools.
- Completing mechanical builds that include sheet metal, harnesses, electrical and mechanical components.
- Building wire harnesses using wire cutters, crimp tools and soldering equipment.
- Executing manual/automated test cases to ensure the design meets the requirements.
- Documenting test results and participate in engineering report development.
- Reading and understanding electrical/electronic schematics and design drawings for the purposes of building, evaluating, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing components, cabling and assemblies.
- Participating in mechanical and electrical/electronic prototype development.
- Working with a cross-functional team to ensure project timelines are met.
- In all actions, demonstrating a primary commitment to patient safety and product Quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented Quality processes and procedures.

**Required qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or diploma in electro-technical, electronic or related field.
- Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering, brazing, drills and fault-testing equipment.
- Technical knowledge of testing concepts for electro-mechanical equipment.
- Swagelok training qualifications for NPT and tube fittings, tube cutting, tube assemblies.
- Good documentation skills.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Knowledge of ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820.
- Good surface mount hand soldering skills.
- Working knowledge of electronic circuits.
- Knowledge of automation tools and processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills in a team environment.
- An analytical and quantitative approach to work.
- Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.

**À propos du poste**

Le technicien en électromécanique travaillera aux côtés de l’équipe de R&D dans le cadre des processus de conception, de fabrication des composants et de construction des assemblages à partir des dessins de conception pour comprendre les exigences et élaborer des scénarios d’essai créatifs afin de vérifier la fonctionnalité des systèmes. En outre, le titulaire du poste lit et exécute les procédures de fabrication et les protocoles d’essai pour s’assurer que les procédures liées à la documentation interne soient respectées pendant la consignation des résultats. Il évalue, assemble et entretient également les systèmes mécaniques et électriques/électroniques.

**Responsabilités**
- Examiner les dessins de conception et fournir des informations sur la possibilité de fabrication.
- Fabriquer des composants à l’aide d’équipements de brasage, de machines et d’outils électriques.
- Réaliser des assemblages mécaniques comprenant des tôles, des faisceaux de fils ainsi que des composants électriques et mécaniques.
- Réaliser des faisceaux de fils à l’aide de pinces coupantes, d’outils de sertissage et de matériel de brasage tendre.
- Exécuter des scénarios d’essai manuels ou automatisés pour vérifier que la conception répond aux exigences.
- Documenter les résultats des essais et participer à l’élaboration des rapports d’ingénierie.
- Lire et comprendre les schémas électriques et électroniques et les dessins de conception afin de construire, d’évaluer, de tester, de diagnostiquer et de réparer les composants, le câblage et les assemblages.
- Participer à la mise au point de prototypes mécaniques et électriques/électroniques.
- Travailler avec une équipe interfonctionnelle pour veiller au respect des délais établis pour les projets.
