**Employment Description and Expectations**:

- The Front of House Coordinator will report directly to the Front of House Manager
- Hours of work are based on a 40 hour work week.
- As the Front of House Coordinator is a salaried employee it is expected that the Front of House Coordinator will schedule days/time in a way that best serves the Rainbow Kitchen. The Front of House Coordinator is expected to monitor and be responsible for their own time management and adjust or flex working hours to accommodate the best interest of the organization. Communication with the Front of House Manager is required for any significant scheduling changes.
- Working closely with, and reporting directly to the Front of House Manager, the Front of House Coordinator will assist with daily operations and management of The Rainbow Kitchen Society. This position requires someone who is comfortable with being both ‘hands-on’ as well as completing administrative duties.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure a safe and respectful environment for staff, guests and volunteers.
- Lead adherence to FoodSafe standards and maintain a safe and clean workspace.
- Ensure a well-organized and presentable front entrance and dining room at all times.
- Set up and deliver In-House meal and beverage services, including being responsible for cooking breakfast when necessary.
- Management of FOH Volunteers with training and task clarity. Encourage communication, involve volunteers in decisions and manage feedback.
- Lead on managing Guests interactions.
- Assess, with management support, whether a volunteer or guest needs specific boundaries limiting their access to the physical space or programming.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard private information.
- Review and advise any updates to the FOHM in regards to the training manual for In-House meal and beverage services.
- Timely coordination on maintenance and repairs to equipment in your work area with the assistance of Management.
- Communicate service item inventory needs to D&LS promptly for ordering.
- Work with management to organize annual Volunteer Recognition events.
- Coordinate with FOHM to schedule volunteers for special and seasonal events requiring RK's presence (e.g., parades, Ribfest, food drives).
- Assist in the management of fundraising initiatives, ie; lead the coordination and logistics of ‘tip tap’ devices, produce donor recognition pieces and events etc.
- Consistent contributions to social media.
- Assist with First-Aid, including completing Incident reports.
- Assist with rental set-ups and clean up.
- Oversee closing duties.
- Any other duty as required necessary for the organization from time to time.

**Wages and Remunerations**:

- The Front of House Coordinator will receive $52,939.94 annually. All statutory remittances will be deducted from the above amount and pay will be issued every 2 weeks.
- A cell phone allowance of $10 per pay period will be provided.
- The Employee will accrue 6% vacation pay per pay period which equals 3 weeks paid vacation per calendar year (prorated from employee start date), front loaded on January 1 of each year. Should the employee terminate their contract prior to the end of the calendar year, an adjustment will be made to the employee’s final pay accordingly.
- Upon the completion of a three month probation period, Rainbow Kitchen will extend company benefits (health saving plan) in the amount of $1,500/per calendar year (does not roll over if not used in full each calendar year) for the duration of this position.
- Rainbow Kitchen commits to an annual review process to evaluate both the employee and employer expectations and to ensure reasonable expectations are maintained.
