**Role Summary**
Reporting to the General Superintendent and Dispatch, the Class 1 Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting various construction materials. Traveling throughout Prince Edward Island and occasionally throughout the Maritimes, this role will consist of safely transporting materials to and from job sites.

**What You’ll Do**
- Ensure all loads are loaded, unloaded, and secured properly.
- Ensure daily trip logs are up to date and submitted weekly along with truck tickets.
- Deliver our products safely and professionally with exceptional customer service.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding any updates or changes in scheduling.
- Occasionally load materials using heavy equipment.
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and daily maintenance.
- Assist with minor physical activities (e.g., shoveling tracks, greasing pins, hook and unhook trailer)
- Report any damages to the superintendent or dispatcher immediately.
- Adhere and support all safety requirements and quality standards set forth in the PEI Occupational Health and Safety General Regulations, PEI Occupational Health and Safety Act and Island Coastal’s Safety Management System.
- Use your experience to identify health and safety deficiencies and support Management in implementing solutions OR report to Management when required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

**What You Bring**
- 1+ years driving experience.
- Experience in civil construction considered an asset.
- Class 1 driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while remaining alert and vigilant.
- Flexibility for shift hours and ability to work frequent overtime.

**Salary**: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 60 per week

**Experience**:

- Commercial driving: 1 year (required)
