**Class 1 Workload Driver Job Description**:
As a class 1 Driver,
- Deliver Multiple loads daily.
- Able to push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs. use a wheeler, Power jeep
- Have good customer service skills
- Operate company’s new fully refrigerated trucks, trailers to transport materials from one site to another.
- Perform pre/post trip daily inspections.
- Verifying material loading and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
- Plan a trip and obtain required documentation to transport goods
- Follow all procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Promptly report any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management.
- Perform basic emergency roadside repairs, if required
- Communicate with dispatcher to organize routing and delivery schedules.
- Accurately record truck information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Follow organizational standards - ensure your environment is safe for you and others.
- Comply with regulations and procedures to align with quality service standards.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with your supervisors and teammates.
- Properly use and maintain warehouse equipment and vehicles.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- 19 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent - preferred
- English speaking
- Valid driver’s license - required
- Previous experience preferred.
- Capable of lifting
- Ability to push, pull, twist, and reach for day-to-day activities
- Dependable and reliable, easy to communicate with
- Available to work overtime when needed may be asked to work holidays as well
- Comfortable working and driving in adverse climate conditions
- Able to go on overnight trips

**Hours of work**

We aim to provide our drivers with consistent scheduling and some shift work will be required.

**Compensation**

The successful applicant will be offered a competitive wage based on their experience.

**Base mileage rate**:

- **54 cents/mile**

**Incentive mileage rate**:

- **Additional 3 cents/mile**:

- If all targets are met - all miles for a period will be paid at the base rate plus our incentive rate (total of 57 cents per mile).
- Based on holistic attributes of our drivers which include safety, customer service, and behavior.
- All targets are clearly communicated to our team members.

**Hourly rate**:
**Starts at $27.99 for the 3 month probationary period, increases bases on experience.**
- Pre & post trips
- Loading and unloading
- Fuelling time
- Breakdown time - up to a maximum of 8hours daytime shift hour.
- Uncontrollable downtimes such as highway closure, or other acts of God - up to a maximum of available shift hours.

**Overtime hours**
- If overtime is required, hours will be paid at 1.5 times or 2 times depending on the statutory requirements.
