**Summary**:
Review and manage the planning and design for small projects and program implementation within the Company’s capital plan in conjunction with the banner Planner and colleagues from other relevant departments.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Visit all project locations of the assigned program to determine project objectives with the client, opportunities for improvement and growth, and analyze site conditions and limitations.
- Prepare preliminary project design layouts, fixture plans and construction details for internal review and presentation to client while ensuring compliance with Building Code and project budget.
- Follow the execution of assigned projects, manage any changes involving planning and design and keeps the various departments informed of the evolution of each project.
- Coordinate with banner Planners for all projects within the banner capital plan to ensure all surplus equipment assets are managed in the most appropriate manner (redirect to other stores or projects, utilized by maintenance department, tendered & sold, or disposed of).
- Ensure that the transfer of all assets from projects are properly documented and coordinated with finance.
- Participate in planning meetings with their Supervisor, Managers and Directors within the Engineering Department.
- Assemble and organize hard copies and CD’s of project drawings to be used for permits, tenders, approvals and construction.
- Update the electronic drawing filing system for both active and archived projects.
- Coordinate with the Design Department to update both the technical library and product sample inventory.

**Qualifications**:

- College Diploma or University studies (certificate) in Architectural Technology, Interior Design or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of design experience preferably in the retail design sector.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, building codes and regulations.
- Advanced skill level in AutoCAD 2014.
- Ability to understand Construction drawings prepared by others in order to produce Store Design layout.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Windows PC environment and a basic understanding of SAP would be an asset.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Self-motivated with good organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Able to adapt to peak periods.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and achieve deadlines.
- Have a valid driver licence an a car available at all time
- Ability to provide accurate, detail orientated and quality work at all times.
