**What You Will Do**
- As a Paramedic or Nurse, you will enhance the quality of life for individuals and diverse communities living with, at-risk for or affected by the challenges associated with HIV/AIDS and HCV.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will support and monitor people who use pre-obtained substances as well as assess and respond to adverse reactions and overdose events.
- Use best practices to embrace a harm reduction approach, you will educate individuals about safe injection and overdose prevention and perform minor medical assessments and first aid.

**What You Will Bring**
- A knowledge and understanding of nasal and intermuscular Naloxone administration
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate and effectively interact with participants and team members across cultures, range of ability, genders, ethnicities and races
- A strong knowledge of community resources and social service agencies in London with the ability to identify and understand intersectional factors that impact the health and wellbeing of diverse communities of people.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to deliver effective conflict resolution and crisis intervention techniques.
- Ability to document participant care or incident in factual, accurate and timely manner
- A paramedic diploma and proof of successful completion of the Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant (AEMCA or AEMCA - pending) Theory Examination (required) or
- A nursing diploma and registration with the College of Nurses (required)
- First Aid & CPR, BLS, CPI training considered an asset.
- A satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
