**Job description**

Reporting to our Install Manager, the Window Installer will be working in the field installing both **RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL windows & doors.**

The position is Monday to Friday with the opportunity for overtime and weekends.

**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Minimum Proficiency**: Ability to perform the following tasks to a high level in an unsupervised capacity:

- Read architectural & structural design drawings
- Drive productivity and adhere to work plan
- Safely operates power tools, care, and maintenance for tools as required
- Good understanding of scaffolding, working of ladders, use of safety harness etc.
- Proficient at all power tools
- Ability to use builders’ levels and lasers
- Select and evaluate materials for defects
- All aspects of basic Framing
- Identifying rough opening sizes for doors and windows
- Understand tasks as assigned and request clarification from Foreman when required
- Communicate any job requirements to the Foreman (materials, equipment, tools) in a timely manner
- Prepare rough openings.
- Install window liners and casings
- Understand and install trim build-up details

**Experience**
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
- Must have minimum 5 years’ experience installing windows & doors
- Valid & Clean Driver’s license
- Passionate problem solver, inquirer and leaner
- Able to lift a minimum of 60lbs
- Experience with using window sealers including but not limited to peel and stick membrane, rain screen principles, caulking, silicone,& foam etc.

**Responsibilities**
- Inspects and installs windows to ensure that they are installed correctly without errors
- Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations
- Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment
- Installation of high-performance windows and doors
- Team player,

- Willing to adapt to ever-changing environment
- Willing to learn
- Willing to train and mentor apprentices and laborers
- Ability to identify unsafe work conditions
- Knowledge of building science

Having, Fall protection training, scissor lift certification, and or boom lift certifications will be an asset.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
